Our Mission:
In an effort to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and other urgently needed medical supplies to healthcare professionals in the Greater Houston area impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak, we are seeking donations from everyone who cares about their own health and safety, as well as the future of their community.
Background:
Many hospitals are experiencing a severe shortage of PPE (medical masks, gowns, face shields, etc.) due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 patients in the US. As a result, healthcare professionals on the front lines of caring for patients are at increased risks of exposure to and infection by the virus. When front-line healthcare workers get infected, they will not only lose the ability to care for patients but also become vulnerable needing care themselves, which will only exacerbate the pandemic crisis. The sooner we end this pandemic, the better the outlook for our communities at large.
Our Approach:
Through our unique personal and organizational networks plus our language advantage, we are finding PPE vendors in other countries and regions that the established medical PPE procurement agents in the US have not been able to reach due to the rapidly changing supply chain impacted by the pandemic. All monetary donations we collect will be spent on the purchase, shipment and delivery of PPE and medical supplies to hospitals and clinics in the Greater Houston and other areas to help fight COVID-19.
